The Gospel Primer (Session 2)

the-gospel-primer.jpg

If you’ve grown up in the church, you've likely heard that we’re all supposed to preach the gospel, live the gospel, be gospel-centered, gospel this, gospel that. But what exactly is the gospel? Ask a brand-new Christian, your parents, or a church elder with a Phd in theology, and any one of them may likely give you an unclear, stuttering response. In fact, for most Christians today, it often seems that the gospel is a bit of an enigma and difficult to pin down.

But it doesn’t have to be.

The Gospel Primer is a 10-week group Bible study course designed to help you cultivate a practical understanding of the gospel and grow in Gospel Fluency. That is, the ability to proclaim and demonstrate the good news in absolutely every area of life. Join us Saturday mornings at 9:30am as we rediscover the gospel together.

Young Adult Sunset Cycle

sunset-cycle.jpg

Attention young adults! This Friday, we’ll be getting together for a SUNSET CYCLE—an evening bike ride using the PeaceHealth Rides bikes! We’ll meet at the church at 6pm for route instructions and then come back after the ride for some light refreshments.

To use the bikes, all you need is your own account number and pin to put in the keypad on the back of the bike. You can create an account by downloading the PeaceHealth Rides app onto your smart phone or going online to www.peacehealthrides.com. We encourage you to get your own account number and pin before we meet at the church, as it will save time. Note: you DO NOT need a smart phone to use the bikes, only your account number and pin.

Checkout this short video to see how the Peace Health Rides work: https://bit.ly/2oAMdCP

Activity cost: About $10 for the bike ride, plus we’ll be making an ice-cream stop along the way (not mandatory).

See you there! Tell your friends!

John Millea Concert

john-millea-ad.jpg

John Millea (pronounced Mill-ay) is a Christian singer-songwriter with a passion for storytelling. Drawing inspiration from life and Scripture, John writes lyrically driven songs that are rich, authentic, and deeply spiritual. Though he’s not afraid to wear his faith on his sleeve, he’s also not afraid to sing about real life and the struggles, disappointments, and joys that come with it.

“I love John’s music. There is found therein an authenticity and vulnerability which we don’t see often enough in Christian communities. His music touches a chord in my soul that is connected to my childhood and yet also to my present. It’s hard to explain, but John’s music, from the first time I heard it, reminded me of some of the great singer/songwriters I’d heard as a child on the radio, in simpler and better times. John’s music is to me profoundly nostalgic but also perfectly modern and relevant. I recommend both him and his music with great enthusiasm.” - David Asscherick
